Abandon is an American Christian rock band from San Antonio, Texas. Abandon first became known with the release of “Abandon EP” in 2008, with their single “Providence” reaching #7 on the R&R Christian Rock music chart. Under Fire comes from their Abandon “Control” album. This album also has their hit song “Live it Out”.

The name “Abandon” comes from Joshua 22:3 – “God has directed us not to abandon any brothers”.

Abandon’s music is characterized by some modern effects coupled with clean, light rock. This song caught my attention because of it’s cool intro and the catchy chorus. I also love the simplicity of the rock, not to heavy or grungy. It’s simple, clean both in style and in lyrics.
